As of the season 22/23 the Scottish Soprano Rosha Maura Fitzhowle is a member of the Ensemble of Theater Magdeburg, where she sings the roles of Eurydice (Orpheus in der Unterwelt), Adina (L’elisir d’amore), and Agathe (Der Freischutz) in her first season. In the 22/23 season Rosha will also repeat her Johanna (Sweeney Todd) in Theater Aachen. In October of 2022 Rosha was honoured by the city of Düsseldorf in a ceremony with the Mayor, and was recipient of the annual Prize of Music, recognising her contributions in the field in the city and country. (2022 Förderpreis für Musik der Landeshauptstadt Düsseldorf).

Previous engagements from 2021/22 have included Gilbert and Sullivan‘s Kate (Pirates of Penzance - German) in both Oper Wuppertal and Staatstheater Nürnberg, and Johanna (Sweeney Todd) in both Theater Aachen and Staatstheater Hannover. In the summer season of 2021 she toured NRW with Music to go, performing Musetta (La Boheme). From 19/20 till 21/22 Rosha sang with the Ensemble of Theater Aachen performing the roles of Woglinde (Das Rheingold), Sophie (Werther) and Affe/Munchkin/Tea cup (Wizard of Oz), Giunone/Il Destino (La Calisto), Johanna (Sweeney Todd - English), and Volpino (Lo Speziale).

The lyric coloratura soprano from Scotland, earnt her Masters degree with 1st class honours at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, where she performed Lucia (The Rape of Lucretia), Belinda (Dido and Aeneas), 2nd Lady (Die Zauberflöte), and The Cockerel (The Cunning Little Vixen - German). 

In June of 2022 Rosha competed as a semi-finalist in the 40th International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition, and a finalist in the 55th IVC International Vocal Competition ‘s-Hertogenbosch. In 2021 Rosha was a finalist of the 58th Tenor Viñas Contest, in 2020/21 Rosha was selected as a ZAV ‘Rising Star’ artist, and in 2020 she was a finalist in the 49th Bundeswettbewerb Gesang. In 2019 and 2020 Rosha received the Theaterinitiative Aachen annual grant, also in 2019, she was a Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg Prizewinner, and a Finalist in the CLIP Concorso Portofino. Rosha has a great interest in modern music, and guests as a singer for the ART Ensemble NRW. 

Rosha’s other credits include; La Princesse/La Bergére/La Pastourelle/La Chouette in L’enfant et Les Sortilèges, and Despina in Cosi Fan Tutte both with City Lit Opera; Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro with Hand Made Opera; and First Witch in Dido and Aeneas with Ursula's Arrow, and with Opera Alumnus.
