The Scottish soprano Rosha Fitzhowle, is a member of the Ensemble of Theatre Magdeburg, where in the 25/26 Season she sang the roles of Violetta (La Traviata), Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel), Berta (Die Berbiere di Sevillia), and Pousette (Manon). She has been a member of the ensemble since the Season of 22/23 performing the roles of Gulietta (I Capuleti e i Montecchi), Eurydike (Orpheus in der Unterwelt), Adina (L'elisir d'amore), Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), Frasquita (Carmen), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Prinzessin Laya/Suzanne de Provence (Die Blume von Hawaii), Prinzessin Ninetta (Liebe zu den drei Orangen), Agatha (Der Freischütz), Sandmännchen/Taumännchen (Hänsel und Gretel) and The Mistress (Evita). In 2024 and 2025 Rosha was awarded “Best Female Soloist" in Theater Magdeburg in Der Opernfreund’s season round-up. In the summer of 2025 Rosha performed her debut as Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) in concert format with the Augsburg Mozart Festival. In Autumn 2026, she will be returning to the Augsburg Mozart Festival to sing as Soprano Solist in Mozart’s Mass in C Minor.

Most recently in 2025 guesting took Rosha to the Staatstheater Hannover, singing Giulietta, in the revival premiere of I Capuleti e i Montecchi, and to Oper Leipzig as Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel. Other guest appearances have been in, Schleswig-Holsteinisches Landestheater as Prinzessin Ninetta (Liebe zu den drei Orangen), in Staatstheater Hannover as Johanna (Sweeney Todd), in Staatatheater Nürnburg and Oper Wuppertal as Kate (Pirates of Penzance), and with Music-to-go in a NRW Tour as Musetta (La bohème).

From the Seasons of 19/20 - 21/22 Rosha sang with the Ensemble of Theater Aachen performing the roles of Woglinde (Das Rheingold), Sophie (Werther) and Affe/Munchkin/Tea cup (Wizard of Oz), Giunone/Il Destino (La Calisto), Johanna (Sweeney Todd - English), and Volpino (Lo Speziale).In October of 2022 Rosha was honoured by the city of Düsseldorf, in a ceremony with the Mayor, as the recipient of the annual Prize of Music, recognising her contributions in the field in the city and country (2022 Förderpreis für Musik der Landeshauptstadt Düsseldorf). For the season 20/21 she was selected as a ZAV ‘Rising Star’ artist, in 2022 Rosha competed as a semi-finalist in the 40th International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition, and a quarter-finalist in the 55th IVC International Vocal Competition‘s-Hertogenbosch Singing Competition.

Rosha trained in opera performance at the Cologne Conservatoire of Music and Dance, the City Lit Drama School and Brunel University in London receiving 1st class honours degrees. During her studies, she sang roles such as Lucia (The Rape of Lucretia), Belinda (Dido and Aeneas), the Second Lady (The Magic Flute), the Cockerel (The Cunning Little Vixen), La Princesse/La Bergère/La Pastourelle/La Chouette (L'enfant et les sortilèges) and Despina (Così fan tutte).
